Seven months of publishing, building an email list, and barely cracking $500/month. Then March 2025 happened. $2,847. Here’s what changed and what it really took.

What Finally Started Working

Two things happened simultaneously: (1) Our Bluehost tutorial article (“How to Start a Blog on Bluehost โ€” Step-by-Step 2025”) hit page 2, then page 1 for “start a blog Bluehost.” Hosting affiliate commissions are extraordinary per-click income. (2) Our email list crossed 5,000 subscribers and the welcome sequence we built (5 emails over 10 days) started converting to affiliate sales on autopilot.

The 7-Month Reality Check

We published 78 articles, built 5,000 email subscribers, and made $3,200 total across months 1โ€“6. Month 7 alone = $2,847. This is the compounding nature of SEO and email: slow, frustrating start; then exponential. If you’re in month 3 making nothing โ€” this is normal. Keep going.
